I read through all the reviews saying these pants fit large. There's one reviewer that says if you have any amount of bloating or belly fat under your belly button.. to size up. And I have to agree. The pleats Don't sit right if the pants are fitting. They look better when they hang off of your body.... I'm normally a size 4 and I ordered a 4 reg, and even tho they do up okay with room in the waist.. I found them to be too small under and around the belly button area causing them to fit weird. I ordered a six hoping that it sits better. If not, I'll keep the 4 and wear them on skinny days lol. I got the plum. They're beautiful. Wish they had a bit of a wider leg. Found they are long enough if worn with shoes. Which is great. I'm 5'4". 138lbs. Curvy. Size 27 in jeans. I definitely recommend ordering your size. Don't size down imo.
I love the fit of the pants, as someone who is bottom heavy with a relatively small waist I tried at least a dozen other wide leg dress pants that just didnt flatter me. Thought I was IN LOVE when these arrived but sadly they pilled in the first wash and even worse in the second wash. They were air ...dried both times. They look awful now but I can't return them because I ordered in July and didn't wear them (to require washing) until after back to school in September. Absolutely terrible fabric :( out over $100
