Small fit Sicks Not True to Size

Bought Men's large size for my son who wears size 10 running shoe and sock was too small. Could not get on his foot. Didnt fit my husband either who wears size 9 running shoe. I wear size 7 womens running shoe and socks fit me but are snug.
