This is a fantastic shirt and my 1.5 year old adores it, but I bought a size 3T thinking it would fit for a while and it barely fits her now. Had I known I would have gotten a much bigger size so she can wear it for more than a few months.
Bought a 4T for a 3.5 year old boy. He's got an average build (not chubby but not super slender). The torso part of the shirt fit small. Length is fine. It looked tight around the armpit areas. Shirt quality itself is fine though. I haven't had an issue buying size 4T in t shirts before for him. I... highly recommend sizing up.
