I am 5 ft 5 inch at 157 lbs. 60 years old. I normally take a size 12. I carry my weight in my belly, hips and thighs. Definitely pear shaped. These pants were at least 2 inch too big in the waist. The length hit right at my ankle. Because I am hippy with large upper legs I worry a med size will pu...ll at my legs and belly when I sit. So I used a wide belt to cinch the waste . When I sat down the material was loose around my belly , hips and legs. But not so loose that they looked like clown pants. I had to stop wearing form fitting jeans and pants due to loose skin and fat on my inner thighs. These pants hide all that but still look great.. I do wish I had ordered petite for a shorter capri look. With a wide belt, a cute tee and flats they are a great summer/spring outfit.
I got that size (XL) and tall length (although I'm just 5'7", I thought I would like the extra length). Yes, they were nice and comfortable around the waist ((38") but very big everywhere else, and the length was too long. I felt that even size L would be too big so I returned them. Too bad becaus...e they're not on sale anymore -- I didn't find out if I could get the sale price but in a different size; maybe I should have. I gave them 3 stars because I liked the fabric very much.

A rare find for me…pants that fit and don't need any alterations! These are a great summer alternative to jeans. I am 5'5" and 152 lbs…my wait to hip ratio always leaves a gap in back of pants. These have just the right amount of elastic to eliminate that problem! I bought them in all colors.

These pants are great! Very loose fitting for a Large, might have been ablet to get away with a medium. I was worried they would look like barrel pants at first glance, but when you put them on, I promise they won't disappoint! I have pets so no pet hair is sticking to them -plus for me!
