We returned it coz of size issues

These water shoes were awesome for my little guy when he was just starting to walk (mostly still crawling and cruising). His feet are chubby and these shoes were actually easy to get on, and seemed very comfy for him (didn't limit his mobility or seem awkward). They rarely came off (when crawling). Very soft and flexible. I tried some other (more expensive) water shoes that didn't have any velcro opening (just slip on), and I could NOT get anything else onto his little puffy feet. The tops of the toes did get worn out a bit from crawling on rough surfaces, but there aren't any actual holes in the material. He's outgrown the 6-12 mo size, so I plan to get the next size up now for the rest of the summer :)
