I'm 5'1, 130lbs about 2.5 months postpartum, so need pants that will fit me better. I got size 4 petite and they fit perfect. My actual waist measurement is 30.5" so the size guide is not very accurate. I saw it ran large so I banked on the size 4 anyways and I'm glad I did because they fit perfectl...y around my waist and the length hit just above my ankles. I have a short torso so this may be longer on you if you're 5'1 and have a longer torso. But anyways, very happy with this purchase.
I'm officially done buying Old Navy / Gap jeans. While I actually love the style and fit of this Jean, this is now my third pair of jeans from Gap and/or Old Navy that have that god awful chemical/formaldehyde smell to them that is impossible to get out regardless of how often you soak / wash them. ...And it never seems bad right out of the bag, but as soon as you wash them the first time it's horrendous. The fumes I was huffing when trying to iron them gave me a headache. If you're buying jeans from them online, make sure you immediately return them if they have even the slightest smell.

I was waiting for these jeans to go on sale. Was not sure what size would fit. Since the jeans are high waisted I went with a size 12. I like the barrel style it compliments my curves. I usually wear a 8,10 depends on brand. The waist does not give that much.
