Agree with others that pant is not a true mid rise pant. I went a size down which is normal for me in this style of pant. Weight of navy will be great as we head into warmer weather.
I have been buying size 12 for myself the last few seasons. I bought these in size 10, but have to return. I can put both arms down the waistband, and can almost pull them off and on without undoing the button and zipper. Also colour is very "mauve". A soft, muddy, dusty rose- not a real pink as the...y appear in photos.

The talls are so long and I love that! These do fit big. I am currently a 16 trying to lose weight and the size 12 can almost button. These run up to 2 sizes too big but you can even go down one size. The pink color is so cute.

gap.com/I love the fabric of these pants and love the dark olive green color. The pants are super comfortable but whatever you do — do NOT size up. I'm 5'5, 169lbs. I wear a 14 for comfort. I order a 14 Regular. I ended up exchanging them for a 12 petite. The regular size was a bit too long in length and extra big in the waist. The 12 petite was a better fit in length and waist. Although the waist for the 12 was still a bit large but I'll use a belt.
