I measured the inseam and it is just a little over 26" so shorter than described. The material in black is 100% viscose, not polyester. The waist is supposed to fit 25"-26" but was a bit too snug for my 26" waist so I would size up, especially after reading the review that said these shrink in size... after washing. Thankfully Old Navy has a generous exchange and return policy. I really want these pants to work out!
These pants are a nice, lightweight option to wear casually or dress up. I've washed them once on a cold delicate cycle and hung them to dry. Even when following the washing instructions, they have shrunk significant. The petite length is now too short for my 5'1" daughter and these don't work as a ...cropped pant. Sad because they've never even been worn and we will have to buy a replacement.

oldnavy.gap.comI love it when ON has these pants in stock. I have been purchasing them for years. Fabric is soft and has a nice drape. The wrinkles come out pretty quickly once they are worn. I purchase the XL as a size 14/16 because I like my clothing to be loose. I can easily wear a size L and a more tailored fit. I also order the tall at five foot eight. I am finnicky about the length of my pants. I have these in the black and the peppercorn. I wear them for work, paired with a tee or blouse, and for casual wear, they are great with a simple tee or a tank top. Sometimes I wear them over a bathing suit. Very versatile pants. I wish ON would keep them in stock year round and have them in more colors. They are an excellent buy when on sale. The regular retail price it too high though and I will not purchase at full price. Great pants! Much better than the ones with a linen blend. The linen fabric that ON uses is very cheap, it is itchy, so I do avoid anything ON sells with a linen blend. These are 100 rayon. Much softer and the fabric holds up well in the laundry.

I bought these pants on Saturday and wore them to a party Saturday night! I got so many compliments on them. I wore them to work on Monday and everyone wanted to know where I got them! I love them because they are so comfortable and have pockets. I just need to hem them a little!
