This is a loose fitting, sweet simple top which I love. I know I will wear it a lot in summer with jeans, pants, capris and skirts. Highly recommend. I am a petite but I went with Regular to be age appropriate as I am older and don't want to show my tummy. For a younger girl, she can go with her usual size as it will be age appropriate. I also recommend going to the store and trying a few sizes on before deciding which size to buy. Even if you are petite, you can do this and decide if you want to go with small petite/medium petite etc as the petite will just be a little shorter than regular size.
