18 slim WITH elastic waist is difficult to find so I was so excited our store had this size in stock. We have to get bigger sizes to get my son's length correct for the legs which makes the waist way too big, so we must have the elastic waistband. They fit my kid who is relatively thin. True to size compared to most brands that also fit my kid. He did a few squats and such to make sure it would still be "ok" to wear to school on PE day. Thumbs up for that scenario too. Not bad! Hopefully they will last until he's ready for the next size up.
